General painting FAQs

Are estimates free?

Yes. You can request a free estimate for a painting project. The follow-up process depends on project size, location, condition, and the information needed to define the scope.

What should I do before requesting an estimate?

Identify the areas you want painted, approximate timing, location, preferred colors if known, and visible repair concerns. Photos and access details can also help.

Is paint included in the estimate?

The estimate should state how coatings and materials are handled. Product, sheen, color, quantity, and surface condition can affect the final scope.

How do you protect floors and furnishings?

The protection plan is matched to the project and may include coverings, masking, furniture positioning, controlled work zones, and daily organization.

Can you fix cracks and holes before painting?

Minor repairs can often be included. Larger, recurring, wet, structural, or specialty conditions may need diagnosis or another trade before cosmetic work.

How long will my painting project take?

Duration depends on surface condition, preparation, drying, access, project size, crew plan, weather, and coating system. Timing is discussed after the scope is understood.

Do I need to leave my home?

Many interior projects can be completed in occupied homes using a phased sequence. Ventilation, pets, children, access, and room use should be discussed in advance.

What happens if exterior weather changes?

Exterior scheduling must respond to rain, temperature, dew, surface moisture, and curing needs. Unsafe coating conditions can require an adjustment.

Can you match an existing paint color?

A close match may be possible using a sample or paint record, but age, fading, sheen, texture, and application can make touch-ups visible.

Do you guarantee a specific paint lifespan?

No universal lifespan is accurate. Preparation, substrate, moisture, exposure, product, use, and maintenance all influence coating performance.

Is pressure washing available by itself?

Pressure washing is positioned primarily as painting or staining preparation. Standalone availability and exact scope must be confirmed during the estimate.

Which communities do you serve?

We serve Grand Rapids and many nearby West Michigan communities. Visit the service areas page for the full list, and request an estimate to confirm project fit.
